Project RISE - Rewards and Incentives for School Educators is an innovative five year initiative funded through a grant from the United States Department of Education’s Teacher Incentive Fund. Project RISE is designed to increase teacher and administrator effectiveness in high-need schools through a combination of incentives and support. This comprehensive approach will lead to sustainable improvements in student achievement so that increasing numbers of teachers and administrators qualify for existing local and state performance-based compensation systems which will be sustained following the conclusion of the grant period. Thirty-seven (37) high-need Miami-Dade County Public Schools will participate in this pilot program.
